Here are the winners from our Sankarea Contest! We had a lot of good entries this time, so it was tough narrowing it down. After looking at all the entries, we decided on these categories:

Zombies and love stories go hand in hand, don’t they? Here at Kodansha, we sure think so! To celebrate the release of our new series SANKAREA, we’re holding a contest to celebrate undead love! The rules are simple: please submit something to us that you think combines both the aspects of DEATH and ROMANCE. The sky’s the limit here, and the more creative you get, the better! One grand prize winner will receive a Sankarea pillow (complete with guts inside that you can pull out and play with!) and a copy of Sankarea volume 1! Honorable mentions will receive a copy of volume 1.

Random House Publisher Services is seeking a summer intern to assist with the Kodansha Comics manga program. The intern will receive a well-rounded introduction to publishing, including work in editorial, production, marketing/sales processes, and social media. Some responsibilities will include proofreading/editing, database management, art review, data entry, and schedule tracking. There will be numerous administrative duties as well. Students who are familiar with MS Office, FileMaker Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Acrobat Pro are preferred. Familiarity with Japanese is helpful, but not required. An interest in manga or comics is required (applications that do not address this will be discarded). This is a non-paid internship. You must be able to receive credit from your school in order to apply for this position.
