Kodansha Comics and Vertical Comics made some new licensing announcements today at our industry panel! KC 4 ALL: Manga for all ages Kodansha Comics is launching a new campaign called KC 4 ALL starting November 20, where we’ll be releasing 4 new and unique digital-first manga that we’d like to recommend to the audience of any age. Debuts November 20! Good Dog, Cerberus! by Moha Arimura Cerberus—the guard dog of the underworld—is a clumsy puppy who can’t do his job. Although Cerberus is constantly causing trouble for his master, Hades, he is always forgiven for being just so darn cute. So goes this wonderfully fluffy tale of life in the underworld. This heartwarming full-color comic is a must-see for all the dog-lovers out there! Debuts November 27! Blissful Land by Ichimon Izumi Khang Zhipa is a 13-year-old doctor’s apprentice living in a mountain village in 18th-century Tibet. One day, when he gets back from collecting medicinal herbs, he finds a bride-to-be and her wedding party will be resting at his home for the night. The bride’s name is Moshi Rati and it turns out she’s actually Khang Zhipa’s fiancee from another land, here to stay! Enjoy this heartwarming slice-of-life tale woven by a kind-hearted boy and his mysterious bride. Debuts December 4! Red Riding Hood's Wolf Apprentice by Ichimon Izumi In this richly imagined forest-world, peopled by beasts, humans, and hunters, the legendary red-haired hunter, nicknamed "Red Riding Hood," encounters a strange girl, half-human, half-beast. Despite being barely able to communicate, the two forge a bond and Red Riding Hood takes on a new apprentice. Join them on their journey as they overcome the walls between them, despite belonging to different species, and learn to survive in a sometimes scary, always magical fantasy universe. Debuts December 11! Crocodile Baron by Takuya Okada His name is Alfred J. Donson, novelist and crocodile. Together with his very good friend (who is a rabbit), he undertakes gentlemanly adventures in culinary excellence throughout Japan, encountering other intriguing denizens of the animal kingdom along the way. With delightfully drawn talking-animal characters, Crocodile Baron demonstrates the absolute importance of good taste and that sometimes it takes an animal to show us how to be truly civilized!     10 Years of Kodansha Comics To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Kodansha Comics, we will be launching a new project that each month starting January 2019, we'll feature some of the classic and most iconic Kodansha Comics series by having exclusive contents, special deals, and sweepstakes. Also, the first three focus titles for the campaign was announced! New licensing announcements—Kodansha Comics Cardcaptor Sakura Collector’s Edition- Coming Summer 2019 The new release of the classic graphic novel series from revered creators CLAMP, featuring a newly-revised translation, high-quality art and lettering, and all the color pages from the original Japanese run. Each hardcover will also include new cover art by CLAMP and a  “clow card,” and Kodansha teased that readers who collect all nine volumes are in for a special treat! Tales of Berseria: Coming Summer 2019 A four-volume adaptation of popular RPG Tales of Berseria, by artist Nobu Aonagi. Bandai Namco Entertainment released Tales of Berseria on the Playstation 4 and PC in North American in January 2017 Fate: Grand/Order: Coming Summer 2019 A two-volume series based on Type-Moon's popular mobile game Fate/Grand Order, titled Fate/Grand Order -mortalis:stella, by creator Shiramine. Fate/Grand Order has been available on mobile platforms iOS and Android in English since June 2017. Princess Jellyfish Box Set coming Summer 2019 A collector's box set of their hit story about geek girls in Tokyo, Princess Jellyfish. The complete series box set will feature all nine paperback volumes of Akiko Higashimura's acclaimed series, which was adapted into an anime in 2010 before becoming an English-language bestseller in 2016. New licensing announcements—Vertical Masquerade and the Nameless Woman: Coming Jan 2019 Formerly titled “Serial Killer Detective” Rising-star detective Yuri meets her match when a trusted police confidante, a brilliant psychoanalyst, slightly botches a murder and refuses to claim it for his serial-killer persona. The victim, an enigmatic young woman, turns out to have been no slouch, either. Katanagatari vol 2 - coming May 2019 Long ago the masterful swordsmith Shikizaki Kiki crafted 1000 blades, though his twelve final works, the legendary deviant blades were prime among the rest. All with uniquely defined traits, these swords are among the greatest in Japan. Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Japan - coming May, 2019 Sherlock Holmes travels to Japan where he teams up with the first Prime Minister of Japan, Hirobumi Ito to solve an international mystery. Nekomonogatari White audio book - coming early 2019
