Greetings, Guildmates! I’m excited today not just about the post-Thanksgiving snow that’s fluttering down on Broadway outside, but also because Fairy Tail 22 is finally in stores. What makes this volume so special? Well, it puts the Edolas Arc on track to its climax, with lots of backstabbing and evil plotting and some of the weirdest battles in the series yet (involving a merry-go-round and a giant octopus man). But open the book and you’ll see that 22 has also received a big visual facelift. The extra title pages are gone, starting off the volume on Mashima’s cool splash page for Vol. 22, and the sound effects have received a big upgrade courtesy of our letterer, Deron Bennett of AndWorld Design. We’re going to keep this style for all of our future Fairy Tail volumes, including our digital releases, which will be coming at the astonishing rate of two volumes a month starting in March 2013. Of course, the real reason you should buy Fairy Tail is the same as it’s always been: It’s a really fun series. But don’t take my word for it:
